About me

Before my marriage (27. 9. 2008) my name was for 27 years Anna Bláhová. I grew up in a railwayman family in the royal city Kadaň, which is surrounded by power plants Prunéřov and Tušimice. My relationships to Earth and Human kind have been formed by industrial landscape full of smoke-stacks and coal pits. Not surprisingly I have chosen field of study between environment protection and geology – Natural resources engineering that had been newly opened by that time at Faculty of Sciences of Charles University in Prague. When choosing the topics for my bachelor and master thesis I have also stayed faithful to my birthplace.
By lucky coincidences during my master thesis processing I have found myself in Institute of Inorganic Chemistry AS CR in Rez , where I started to work in 2004 and up till now am employed and involved in several projects and simultaneously finishing my PhD. thesis. I found scientific work and life full of challenges and uncommon experiences. I would not have thought a year ago that I would ever have an oral presentation in international scientific conference :-)
I am looking forward to see the direction of my life going. I am determined to enlarge my general knowledge basement  and  to look beyond limitation of myself. Hopefuly I will not waste a moment of my precious lifetime by gambling or another kind of time consuming addiction. I am  keen on interior reconstruction and all do-it-yourself staff-not frightened by any experiment with motto-”Although not everything is well done for the first time it must be done at the end!”
